In March 2019 we began the selection of the highest quality Coffea arabica seeds. Great genetics are the base for our outstanding coffee.
After seed selection, we developed the seed germinator beds where we planted the seeds. Once the seeds reached maturity, we transferred them to the nursery.
We have planted 12 acres and we will expand by planting 13 more in 2025.
We built our coffee house using Compressed Earth Blocks (CEBs). CEBs are an environmentally friendly building material known for their durability and sustainability. Their high thermal mass helps regulate temperature, keeping our house comfortable in both hot and cold weather.
In Buenavista Alta, expansive protected native forests provide a habitat for a wide variety of wildlife, including the Andean motmot, sparrowhawks, butterflies, snakes, wild turkeys, armadillos, tayras, deer, and many other species. Our coffee operation plays an active and crucial role in preserving this biodiverse ecosystem by protecting and maintaining their natural habitat.
